Financial Assistance

First Street Methodist Mission has limited funds to provide financial
assistance for rent or utility bill assistance. The Mission’s Crisis Case
Manager handles all of the requests for financial assistance. All clients must
meet with the Crisis Case Manager and provide documentation and verifiable
information about their crisis. Financial assistance is limited.
Please bring the following documents to your appointment with the Crisis Case Manager:
- Texas Driver's License/Texas ID
- Social Security Cards for Applicant and all household members
- Birth Certificates of dependents
- Last or most recent paycheck stubs
- Unemployment pay check stub
- SS/SSI Award Letter
- Verification of employment
- Copy of lease or rent receipt
- All monthly bills: Utilities, phone, cable/internet, credit cards
- Any receipts of bills paid for the month
Case workers can make a referral for assistance for their clients by contacting
the Crisis Case Manager by phone, fax or email. Case workers should submit a referral
which includes their client’s name, date of birth, address and statement of need
along with contact information for the case worker.
