Thanksgiving Basket Program

By Case Worker Referral Only

Each Thanksgiving, First Street Methodist Mission works with area social service agencies to provide 800 Thanksgiving Baskets to low income, elderly and/or disabled families and individuals living in Fort Worth and the surrounding community. Thanksgiving Baskets are made up of all of the items necessary to prepare a traditional holiday meal including a turkey or hen. Volunteers unload the food, prepare the baskets and help deliver the holiday meal.

Christmas Chili Lunches for the Homeless

Open to the Homeless Community

The week prior to Christmas, First Street Methodist Mission host a hot meal for the homeless in the Justin Youth Building from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Along with the meal there is Christmas entertainment, pictures for loved ones and Christmas cards to send to friends and family.
